Welcome to MyRecoveryPal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyRecoveryPal website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.
By creating an account or using MyRecoveryPal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MyRecoveryPal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MyRecoveryPal.

You may not use another person's account without permission or create an account using false information.

MyRecoveryPal is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Our Service provides peer support, community connection, and self-tracking tools for individuals in recovery. It is not a medical service and should not be used as a replacement for professional healthcare, addiction treatment, therapy, or counseling.

5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use MyRecoveryPal in a manner consistent with its purpose as a supportive recovery community. You may:
- Share your recovery journey and experiences.
- Connect with and support other members.
- Participate in groups and challenges.
- Track your personal progress and milestones.
- Access recovery resources and information.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Harm Others: Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
- Share Harmful Content: Post content that glorifies substance use, provides instructions for obtaining drugs, or encourages relapse.
- Spread Misinformation: Share false medical information or dangerous health advice.
- Impersonate: Pretend to be another person, medical professional, or organization.
- Spam: Send unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotional content.
- Violate Privacy: Share others' personal information without consent.
- Exploit: Attempt to exploit vulnerable individuals for financial gain or other purposes.
- Circumvent Security: Attempt to bypass security measures or access unauthorized areas.
- Illegal Activity: Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Commercial Use: Use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes.
- Interfere: Disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to it.
- Scrape Data: Use automated means to collect user data or content.
7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share on MyRecoveryPal ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving the Service.
7.2 Content Standards
User Content must not:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others.
- Contain explicit sexual content or pornography.
- Promote violence, discrimination, or hatred.
- Include personal information of others without consent.
- Contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.
7.3 Content Moderation
We reserve the right to review, remove, or disable access to any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem harmful to the community, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

9. Subscriptions and Payments
9.1 Free and Premium Services
MyRecoveryPal offers both free features and optional premium subscriptions ("Premium"). Premium features are available for a fee as described on our pricing page.
9.2 Billing
If you purchase a Premium subscription:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Prices may change with notice; continued use constitutes acceptance.
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
9.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to Premium features until then.
10. Intellectual Property
The MyRecoveryPal name, logo, website design, graphics, software, and all other intellectual property are owned by MyRecoveryPal or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.
- Use our trademarks without written consent.
- Reverse engineer or decompile our software.
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices.
11. Third-Party Services
MyRecoveryPal may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings.
12.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms.
- Your conduct harms other users or the community.
- We are required to do so by law.
- We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice).
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- Results from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.
- The quality of the Service will meet your expectations.
- Any errors will be corrected.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYRECOVERYPAL AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyRecoveryPal, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your User Content.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
16. Dispute Resolution

16.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16.3 Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
17. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date.
- Sending an email notification to your registered address.
- Displaying a prominent notice within the Service.
Your continued use of MyRecoveryPal after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyRecoveryPal.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights freely.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
