Firefox for Desktop

Limited Desktop Support

Firefox desktop currently has limited PWA support. For the best experience on desktop, we recommend using:

  • Google Chrome - Full PWA support
  • Microsoft Edge - Full PWA support
  • Safari (on macOS) - Good PWA support

Alternative: Create a Bookmark

While Firefox desktop doesn't support full PWA installation, you can:

  • Bookmark MyRecoveryPal (Ctrl+D / Cmd+D)
  • Pin the tab for quick access
  • Use the site normally in your browser

Consider switching to Chrome or Edge for the full app experience with offline support and push notifications.

Installing on iPhone/iPad

Important: You must use Safari for this to work. Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers on iPhone do not support app installation.
1

Open Safari

Open the Safari browser (the blue compass icon that comes with your iPhone) and go to www.myrecoverypal.com

Tip: If you opened this link from Facebook, Instagram, or a text message, you may be in an in-app browser. Copy the URL and paste it into Safari instead.

2

Tap the ... (More) Button

Look at the bottom-right area of Safari's address bar. You'll see a small ... (three dots) button. Tap it to reveal more options.

Don't see the toolbar? Tap once on the page or scroll up slightly — the toolbar hides while scrolling and will reappear.

3

Tap the Share Button

In the menu that appears, look for the Share option — it's a square with an arrow pointing up. Tap it.

4

Select "Add to Home Screen"

A share menu will slide up. Scroll down past the row of app icons (Messages, Mail, etc.) to the list of actions below. Look for "Add to Home Screen" with a + icon and tap it.

Can't find it? Scroll all the way to the bottom. If it's still not there, tap "Edit Actions..." at the bottom and make sure "Add to Home Screen" is toggled on.

5

Name the App

You'll see a preview of the app icon and name. You can edit the name if you'd like, or keep it as "MyRecoveryPal".

6

Tap "Add"

Tap the Add button in the top-right corner. The MyRecoveryPal icon will now appear on your home screen just like any other app. Tap it to open — it runs full-screen without Safari's address bar!

Installing on Desktop (Windows/Mac/Linux)

Note: Desktop PWA installation works best with Chrome or Edge. Firefox desktop doesn't support PWA installation - see the Firefox tab above for alternatives.

I don't see the install button

Try visiting the site a few times. Most browsers require 2-3 visits before showing the install prompt. Also make sure you're using a supported browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari on iOS).

How do I uninstall the app?

Android: Long-press the app icon → Uninstall
iOS: Long-press the app icon → Remove App
Desktop: Right-click the app icon → Uninstall

Will this use a lot of storage?

No! The app uses minimal storage (typically under 50MB) and automatically manages cache size.
