How to Install MyRecoveryPal on Your iPhone
Step 1: Open Safari (the blue compass icon that comes with your iPhone). This will not work in Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser — it must be
Safari.
Step 2: Go to the website. Type http://www.myrecoverypal.com in the address bar and hit Go.
Step 3: Tap the ... (More) button. In the bottom-right area of the address bar, you'll see a small ... (three dots) button. Tap it to reveal more
options.
Step 4: Tap the Share button. In the menu that appears, look for the Share option — it's a square icon with an arrow pointing upward (⬆︎ coming out
of a box). Tap it.
- Tip: If you don't see a toolbar at the bottom, tap once on the page or scroll up slightly — the toolbar hides while scrolling and will reappear.
Step 5: Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen." A share menu slides up. Scroll down past the row of app icons (Messages, Mail, etc.) to the list of
actions below. Look for "Add to Home Screen" with a + icon. Tap it.
- If you don't see it, scroll all the way down — it may be near the bottom.
- If it's still not there, tap "Edit Actions..." at the very bottom and make sure "Add to Home Screen" is toggled on.
Step 6: Tap "Add" in the top-right corner. You can rename the app or leave it as "MyRecoveryPal."
Step 7: Find the app on your Home Screen. The MyRecoveryPal icon will now appear on your home screen just like any other app. Tap it to open — it
runs full-screen without Safari's address bar.

Hi Ryan, I need some assistance figuring out how to download the app. The instructions on here aren’t working. I don’t see that little arrow that comes after the install button. Thanks

Hey everyone,
I want to be upfront with you - MyRecoveryPal is still a young platform, and our community is small but growing. Every one of you here right now is helping shape what this becomes.
My vision for this site: I'm building a social-first recovery platform - think of it as a social network made specifically for people in recovery. A place where you can connect with others who actually understand your journey, celebrate milestones together, and find real support without the noise and triggers of mainstream social media. The goal is 70% community and connection, with resources and tools supporting that core mission.
If you run into any bugs or glitches, please post about them here. I'm actively monitoring and will do my best to fix issues as quickly as possible. Your feedback has already helped me squash a bug with the Recovery Pal feature this week!
Ways you can help our community grow:
- Invite someone - Know someone who might benefit? There's an "Invite Friends" link in the menu. A personal invite means more than any ad.
- Start a Group or Challenge - Don't wait for the perfect group to exist - create one! Whether it's location-based, focused on a specific recovery path, or just a topic you're passionate about, your group could be exactly what someone else is looking for.
- Become a Sponsor - If you're further along in your recovery journey, consider making yourself available as a sponsor. Check your profile settings to indicate you're open to sponsoring others. Your experience could be the guidance someone desperately needs.
- Post and engage - Share a check-in, celebrate a milestone, or just say hi. Every post makes someone feel less alone.
I'd love your suggestions:
What features would make this platform more valuable to you? What's missing? What would make you want to come back every day?
Drop your ideas in the comments. This is your community too.
Thank you for being here early. It matters.

Quick check — can we see who's actually here?
We've got fewer than 50 members right now, but this community is growing every single day. And honestly? I want to know who's in this with me.
So let's do a roll call.
Just drop a comment and say hey. That's it. A wave. An emoji. Your name. Whatever feels right.
🙋♂️🙋♀️
Bonus if you want to share: What's one small goal you have for yourself this week?
Doesn't have to be deep. "Drink more water." "Go for a walk." "Not doom scroll before bed." All valid.
I see every single one of you and I'm glad you're here. Let's make some noise. 👇

What's a song that hits different in recovery?
Maybe it's one that gets you through hard days. Maybe it's one that finally makes sense now. Maybe it just makes you feel something.
Drop the song (and artist if you remember).
Building a recovery playlist with your suggestions and I'll post a Spotify link here when it's ready. 🎵

What's something you rediscovered in recovery that you forgot you loved?
A hobby. A food. A person. A feeling.
For me it was playing and learning music, coding (which led to the creation of this site), and making things with my hands.
What about you?

One word. That's it.
Describe how you're feeling right now in just one word.
No explanation needed. No pressure to go deep. Just one word.
I'll go first: hopeful
Your turn. 👇

Real talk: How are you doing this holiday season?
The holidays can be... a lot.
For some of us, it's navigating family gatherings where the drinks are flowing. For others, it's the empty chair at the table — relationships we've lost along the way. Maybe it's the pressure to be "merry" when you're just trying to make it through. Or maybe this is your first holiday season clear-headed, and you're not sure how to feel about that.
But sometimes the holidays surprise us too. Moments of real connection. Gratitude that hits different when you're actually present for it. The quiet pride of showing up as a better version of yourself.
Wherever you are right now — struggling, thriving, or somewhere in between — you're not alone in it.
So let's check in. Pick one (or a few):
🎄 What's been the hardest part of this season for you?
🕯️ What's one thing you're grateful for right now?
💪 What's helping you stay grounded?
🤝 What do you need from this community today?
No pressure to be positive. No pressure to be deep. Just be honest.
We've got you. 💙

Can we talk about something for a sec?
Recovery can be lonely — even when you're surrounded by people.
Sometimes the hardest part isn't quitting. It's rebuilding. Finding your people. Figuring out who you are without the thing you leaned on for so long.
That's part of why this place exists. Not to replace meetings or therapy or whatever works for you — but to give you one more corner of the internet where you don't have to pretend.
When did you feel most alone in your journey? And what helped?

Welcome to everyone who's found their way here! 🙌
This community is still small — and honestly, that's kind of exciting. We're building something from the ground up, together.
I'd love to get to know you. Drop a comment and share:
1. Where are you on your journey? (Recovery, still figuring it out, supporting someone, or just curious?)
2. What's one thing that's helped you the most along the way?
3. What would make this community valuable to YOU?
There's no wrong answer. Whether you're on day 1 or year 10, whether you're thriving or barely hanging on today — you belong here.
Let's break the ice and start building something real. 💙
